Schedule:

We offer four sessions: one Friday night, one Saturday morning and one Saturday night, and one Sunday morning. Each session is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours long. The venue is a unique one in that we are ministering to 1400-2000 men who come for the weekend of music, fellowship, great food, play, and the Word of God. A typical session includes 20-25 minutes of worship singing led by our Men’s Roundup worship team, 15-20 minutes of announcements and other Roundup Board business, 45-55 minutes of musical presentation by our special musical guest, and 45-55 minutes of exposition from the Word of God.

Location:

The venue is Camp Tadmor (www.tadmor.org), a mountain camp ministry of CB Northwest. The camp is approximately 110 miles south of Portland International Airport (a 2.5 hour drive) located between the communities of Lebanon and Sweet Home in the foothills of the Cascade mountains. The camp is not a resort but does have most all the amenities of a mountain camp retreat setting. It is rustic but not at all uncomfortable. All sessions are held in our semi-outdoor Forum building which seats 1000 men. Additional seating for 400 men comes behind the podium under a large tent. Additional seating for the venue is outside of the Forum on a hillside with decent viewing of the stage area.

There are a variety of things to do while our guests stay with us on the mountain. There is swimming in our lake, fishing in the lake or nearby rivers, and disc golf on a nationally recognized disc golf course. Of course, a quiet walk in the woods or just visiting with friends is also available and encouraged! It is genuinely a unique experience for our guests and participants.

Housing:

Cabin space is limited and may be reserved by church groups only. Primitive tent and RV spaces are available in the fields of Campt Tadmor. RV's should be self-contained. There are a very limited number of electrical hookups and a few water hookups. No dumpsite available. Spots are first come, first served.

Food:

All participants and guests eat on campus. The meals are fixed by a professional chef and are a true highlight of the weekend. No portion is too small and it must be experienced to be believed. Of course, many men choose to prepare their own meals and extend their times of fellowship. We encourage this but the camp food is beyond belief.

Sound Capabilities:

Sound and electronic capabilities are handled by a professional company out of Portland, Oregon called Rose City Sound. During our artist sessions, artist sound tech generally use equipment provided by Rose City Sound. Audio recordings of all expository sessions are made available to the men. Musical guests typically do not have their participation recorded unless previously authorized.

Video Capabilities:

We broadcast all sessions on a closed-circuit system to those who have work duties away from the main venue on the camp. Video recordings are made available to the men subject to contract stipulations of the speakers and musicians. Inside of the main forum, we have video projection capability to two large screens.

Weather:

Weather in Oregon during the first part of September has historically been beautiful with temperatures ranging from 50s at night to the upper 70s during the day with no rain and low humidity. However, we have been wet in the past! It is best to plan ahead for nearly any contingency. Long-range forecasts up to a week in advance are generally correct. It’s best to check.

Roundup Expectation for All Guests:

We are a very informal camp where participants, guests, and Roundup Board staff play and mix together in a very congenial, laid-back setting. Jeans and T-shirts are the mode of dress unless someone throws on a shirt for dinner. Anything more formal would just not be Roundup! Actually, anything will do except a coat and tie. It’s your choice.

Other Things To Know While At Camp:

  • Meal Bands - You may purchase additional meal bands at either the registration tent or at the Canteen if registration is closed. Bands must be worn at all times while in the camp.
  • First Aid Station - This is located at the Health Center, next to the Dining Hall.
  • Seat Saving - We ask that you limit seat saving to you and one friend. Please do not save sections or rows. Your courtesy for others is appreciated.
  • Camp Fires - Because of the normally high fire danger, Tadmor has a NO CAMP FIRE policy. We thank you for not having camp fires.
  • Smoking - While we discourage smoking at Tadmor, the area immediately in front of the Tadmor office (up the hill from the Forum) is reserved for those who feel the need to smoke. Please use the receptacles provided. Smoking in other locations will fall under the no camp fire policy.
  • Drinking - Drinking of alcoholic beverages at Tadmor is prohibited. Thank you, again, for considering others.
  • Lost and Found - This is located at the Bookstore next to the Dining Hall.

  • Spanish Translation - Spanish translation audio is available if translators are available.
  • Session Audio and Video - Audio and Video recordings of the speaker are available for purchase. See the sound and video operators in the Forum before or after any session to order your copy.
